"Talk is cheap...It is the way we organize and use our lives everyday that tells what we believe in.” - Cesar Chavez
A Bridgeport native and graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Juliemar Ortiz has strong roots in our community and a passion for public service that has guided her professional career.
After covering social unrest as a local news reporter, Juliemar Ortiz decided to leave her dream career in journalism to use her passion for storytelling and finding truth to advocate for equity and justice in state government, private, and nonprofit sectors in Bridgeport and throughout Connecticut.
It’s time for Bridgeport and Stratford to have a new voice and fresh vision in Hartford. Our communities have seen too much corruption, indictments, and mismanagement. Juliemar is running for State Senate on a people-first campaign focused on political, economic, and social justice issues that cannot be ignored and ensuring state government fights for the people it is meant to serve.
Juliemar will fight for the people of the 23rd Senate District and will work to usher in a new era of justice, equity, and progress for our communities.
