Declaration of Candidacy for Delegate/Alternate to the Republican National Convention

Milwaukee, WI | July 15 – 18

To be eligible as a candidate for national delegate/alternate in Milwaukee and have your name listed on the ballot at the state convention, a candidacy declaration, the delegate pledge, and filing fee must be received by the WAGOP State Headquarters using this form no later than 5:00 P.M., Friday, April 12.

Nominations from the floor will NOT be permitted.

The form below fulfills the candidacy declaration, delegate pledge, and filing fee requirements.

Filing Fees

At-Large Candidate: $100/person

Congressional District Caucus Candidate: $50/person

*Candidate for Both: $150/person**

There is no additional fee if you wish to run for both the delegate and alternate position. If you are elected as a delegate, you will not be eligible as a candidate for alternate and your name will be removed from the ballot.

By submitting the form below, you pledge and declare under penalty of perjury that the following is true:

I understand that delegates are allocated to presidential candidates based on the results of the March 12 Washington State Presidential Primary (see rule 37). Based on those results, all delegates from Washington State are bound to that winner through the first round of balloting at the National Convention. Therefore, I pledge to cast my ballot as a delegate to the Republican National Convention for the winner of the March 12 Presidential Primary on the first ballot.

Contributions to the Washington State Republican Party are not deductible for the Federal Income Tax purposes.
