Contribution Rules

• I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).

• This contribution is made from my own funds and not on behalf of another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.

• I am at least eighteen (18) years old.

• I am not a federal contractor.

• I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card or personal funds, and not with a corporate or business credit card or a credit card issued to another person.


Contribution Limits and Compliance

• Contributions or gifts are not tax deductible.

• Under West Virginia law, individuals may not contribute more than $2,800 to a candidate’s committee for nomination (primary) and $2,800 for the general election in any election cycle. Contributions must be designated appropriately for primary or general election purposes.

• Corporate contributions directly to candidate committees are prohibited.

• Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited.

• Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions in an election cycle exceed $200.

• Information collected for reporting may include your full legal name, address, occupation, and employer, as required by law for contributions above reporting thresholds.
