Contributions to the Tulare County Republican Central Committee (TCRCC) are not deductible for federal or California income tax purposes.

  • Individuals may contribute up to $10,000 per calendar year to the federal account of the TCRCC. Spouses are treated as separate individuals.


Contribution Allocation:

Unless otherwise designated by the contributor, contributions will be allocated as follows:

  1. The first $10,000 per individual per calendar year will be deposited into TCRCC’s federal account, to be used for federal election purposes.
  2. Contributions exceeding the federal limit may be directed to TCRCC’s California state-level accounts or restricted use account, subject to applicable law:
  3. Up to $49,000 per calendar year may be used for direct contributions to state candidates; there is no limit for restricted use account contributions.
  4. Only if necessary, contributions will then be deposited into TCRCC’s Levin Account, and used solely for federally regulated federal election activity (FEA) such as voter registration and generic GOTV efforts.


Note: In some cases, contributions may be split between multiple accounts in order to ensure compliance with federal and state law and to support committee operations as allowed. Donors may request an alternative allocation by contacting the committee. If no designation is made, the above sequence will apply.


Prohibited Sources:

Contributions cannot be accepted from:

  • Federal government contractors;
  • Foreign nationals (non-U.S. citizens or non-green card holders);
  • Contributions made in the name of another or reimbursed by third parties;
  • Earmarked donations for a specific candidate (such contributions will be refunded).


Contribution Rules

  1. I am a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
  2. This contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to me by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution.
  3. I am at least eighteen years old.
  4. I am not a federal contractor.
  5. I am making this contribution with my own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.


Major Donor Reporting:

California law requires individuals or entities contributing $10,000 or more in a calendar year to all state and local candidates, PACs, political party committees, or ballot measures (including to TCRCC) to file a Major Donor Report (Form 461) with the Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC).


Federal Reporting Note:

Federal law requires the TCRCC to use its best efforts to report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
