William “Stacy” Vaughan is a conservative Christian, retired U.S. Air Force combat veteran, and longtime Sullivan County resident running to bring accountability and fiscal responsibility back to local government.
Stacy served 22 years in the United States Air Force, where he gained extensive experience in government contract oversight, project management, and instruction. Over the course of his career, he served as an evaluator, instructor, and teacher for 18 years, developing the leadership, analytical, and communication skills necessary to manage complex operations and safeguard taxpayer resources.
Following his military service, Stacy has spent the past 15 years as a Realtor with RE/MAX Preferred, building deep knowledge of the Tri-Cities real estate market and helping local families navigate one of the most important financial decisions of their lives. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Supervisory Management.
A resident of District 7 since 2010, Stacy and his wife Tammy have been married for 29 years and raised two children, both graduates of Sullivan County Schools. As a disabled veteran with strong roots in the VA system and a member of Celebration Church in Blountville, faith, service, and community are central to his life.
Stacy is running because he believes Sullivan County must do better managing its resources. He is concerned about rising debt, reckless spending, and the looming threat of property tax increases. He believes taxpayers deserve disciplined leadership, transparent budgeting, and officials who treat public dollars with the same care as their own.
Stacy Vaughan is committed to bringing veteran leadership, business discipline, and principled conservative values to the Sullivan County Commission, ensuring strong stewardship today and a stable future for the next generation.
