South Carolina College of Emergency Physicians

Three major legislative items that will affect Emergency Physicians and our patients require our immediate attention:

· Requiring Physician Presence in Every Emergency Department

· Enhancing Workplace Safety

· Opposing Scope of Practice Expansion for Nonphysician Practitioners

These current legislative efforts will require financial resources beyond our typical SCCEP budget.
