By making your gift you are affirming: (i) you are a Sustaining Member of Susan B. Anthony List; (ii) you are a United States citizen or an individual lawfully admitted with permanent residence status (e.g., a “green card holder”); (iii) you are at least 18 years old; (iv) you are not a federal contractor (does not apply to personal contributions by subcontractors, employees, partners, shareholders or officers of federal contractors); and (v) this contribution is made from your personal funds and not those of another or from an account maintained by a corporation, labor union, or national bank, and is not being reimbursed by another person or entity.
The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund is a connected political action committee of Susan B. Anthony List, a 501(c)(4) membership organization. It is registered with the Federal Election Commission and is exempt from federal taxation under section 527 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions received in response to this solicitation will be used by SBA Candidate Fund in connection with federal elections and are subject to federal contribution limits. SBA List Sustaining Members may contribute up to $5,000 to SBA Candidate Fund in a calendar year.
SBA List Sustaining Members may periodically be afforded the opportunity to make contributions to SBA Candidate Fund that are earmarked for specific SBA List-endorsed candidates, or to make contributions to specific SBA List-endorsed candidates that are delivered to those candidates by SBA Candidate Fund. Contributions to candidates, whether earmarked for or made directly to that candidate, are limited to $2,800 per person, per candidate, per election. A contribution to SBA Candidate Fund that is earmarked for a candidate counts against the donor’s contribution limit for that candidate.
Contributions to SBA Candidate Fund or to candidates from corporations, federal contractors, and foreign nationals (except individuals who are not citizens of the United States but who are lawfully admitted for permanent residence) are prohibited. Federal law requires SBA Candidate Fund and candidates to use their best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of each individual whose contribution(s) exceed $200 in a calendar year (if to SBA Candidate Fund) or in an election cycle (if to a candidate). Federal law also requires SBA List and SBA Candidate Fund to inform you that any suggested contribution amounts are merely suggestions, that you are free to contribute more or less than the suggested amounts, and that SBA List will not favor or disadvantage you by reason of the amount you contribute or your decision not to contribute. The IRS does not allow contributions to SBA Candidate Fund or to candidates to be deducted as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
