The City of Austin budget has never been entirely and externally audited.

After the blowout defeat of Prop Q (a 20.2% city property tax increase proposed by the City Council), the only way to rebuild trust between taxpayers and city leaders is to require an outside performance audit of the entire city budget -- to eliminate duplication, waste, and fraud and improve affordability for residents and efficiency of city services.

We have no collected more than 20,000 valid signed petitions and submitted them to the city.

The next phase is to await their verification decision and be prepared for quick legal action if they do not approve us, while also planning to run the campaign to pass our outside audit charter amendment in November 2026.
