Personal, PAC and Corporate contributions are acceptable and will be deposited according to New York State Election Law. Individuals may contribute $11,000 for the General election, for a total of $11,000. Contributions from spouses do not count against this total. A corporation may contribute up to $5,000 per calendar year to all state or local political candidates combined. (Each affiliated or subsidiary corporation, if a separate legal entity has its own limits.) Contribution from LLPs and LLCs are treated as individual contributions. Contributions from foreign nationals are prohibited. An individual residing in the United States who possesses a green card may contribute. Political contributions are not tax deductible.
