Check Information:
Include your name, occupation and employer on the check. State law requires candidates to use best efforts to collect and report the full name and address, principal occupation or job title, and full name of the employer.
Contribution Rules
A person may contribute up to $3,500 to any single candidate per contribution cycle. A political committee may contribute up to $10,000 to any single candidate per contribution Cycle.
Couples may make contributions from a joint account, but each contributor must sign the check (or other written instrument) or a statement that accompanies the contribution.
Qualified federal PACs may contribute a maximum of $5,000 for the primary election and $5,000 for the general election. Non-qualified federal PACs may contribute a maximum of $3,500 for the primary election and $3,500 for the general election.
Contributions from federal government contractors and corporations are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle.
Corporations (including nonprofit corporations) and labor organizations are prohibited from making political contributions in connection with Texas and local elections. Foreign Nationals are prohibited from contributing.
A contribution is provided by your own personal credit card and not with a corporate or business credit card or a card issued to another person.
A contributor must be at least eighteen years old and a contributor is not making a contribution on behalf of, a corporation, labor organization, national bank, foreign national without a green card, a federal contractor, or any other federally impermissible source.
You must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (i.e., green card holder).
"A contribution is made from my own funds, and funds are not being provided to the campaign by another person or entity for the purpose of making this contribution."
Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
