Redemption Earned, Inc is a grassroots, non-profit organization dedicated to providing free legal and reentry services for worthy incarcerated adults that address fundamental deficiencies in the Alabama parole process without diminishing the public’s safety or minimizing the crimes that were committed.
Our mission is to identify, assist, and represent old or infirm individuals who have spent decades behind bars, demonstrated they are transformed, and earned the opportunity for parole. This mission is made possible by the contributions of people like you and we very much appreciate your support.

Our clients include dialysis patients, double amputees, quadriplegics, transplant recipients, and people utterly incapacitated by dementia.
Because of our donors great generosity, we have managed to beat the odds. Already this year in 2025, we have successfully secured the release of 13 clients from Alabama's prisons, which is one of the most overcrowded, understaffed, and dangerous prison systems in the country.
In total, we have helped 35 people leave prison with a 0% recidivism rate. But our work is not done yet. With hundreds of inmates growing sicker while incarcerated, we will continue everyday to represent those who have earned their redemption.
Those like Jerry Helton, one of our clients granted medical parole this year. Jerry Helton is a veteran who has been incarcerated since the 1990s, who has worked out in the free world on work release for many years. He was denied parole 6 times. Then, he was given three months to live after a terminal cancer diagnosis. On March 6th, 2025, he became a free man after our attorney represented him at his hearing. He had one thing he wanted to share: "I'm not going home to die. I'm going home to fish."
Thank you, to all of our donors, for helping us help these worthy individuals.
