Contributions to Peter Yu for Senate are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. Individuals may contribute no more than $2,900 per election. The primary and general election are separate elections, so individuals may contribute up to $5,800 and married couples may contribute up to $11,600 in the election cycle. Contributions from corporations, labor unions, national banks, federal government contractors, and foreign nationals not admitted for permanent residence in the United States are prohibited. Federal law requires us to use our best efforts to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation and employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 in an election cycle.
