Grocers PAC Authorization Form


Grocers PAC, the NGA Political Action Committee, works to support candidates for federal office who understand policies important to the independent supermarket industry. Advocating on behalf of the independent supermarket industry is a cornerstone of NGA, and the PAC is one of the greatest tools NGA uses to achieve this goal. The Federal Election Commission (FEC) requires trade associations like NGA, to receive authorization from a member company before communicating with you or your employees about information related to our PAC.


Please also note, federal law permits a company to authorize one trade association federal PAC per year.

NGA may not solicit contributions from owners or employees of member companies without either receiving prior approval or registering as an individual member of the association. Signing this form does not prevent you from making a personal political contribution to a federal or corporate PAC or to a state PAC that supports candidates for state and local office. Contributions to the Grocers PAC will be used for political purposes and must be drawn from personal, not corporate, accounts. Political contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Contributions to the Grocers PAC are voluntary and individuals have the right to refuse to contribute without fear of reprisal. Federal law requires NGA to use best efforts to collect name, mailing address, occupation, and name of employer of individuals whose contributions exceed $200 per calendar year.
