Housing Affordability in MoCo
Monday, September 14 at 6:30 – 8:30 pm Eastern Time
District 7 candidate Harold Maldonado, an economist and longtime Montgomery County resident, hosts a short community conversation on why housing costs keep rising for working families and what local government can actually change. The discussion covers how limited supply, high regulatory and permitting costs, property tax pressure, and demand in a high-income market have made both renting and buying harder for teachers, first responders, and middle-income households.
Two regional experts, Kevin Hughes from Blue Crab Realty and Eric Stewart from the Eric Stewart Group will provide expert analysis and comment on the reasons why owning a home in Montgomery County is expensive.
