Lisa Ross is a passionate advocate, experienced community leader, and proven problem solver who understands Rochester and is committed to fighting for what matters most to residents.

As a Rochester native I have remained deeply invested in our community. Currently, I serve on the Planning and Zoning Commission, a member of the Olmsted County Fair Board, a small business owner, and the Regional Manager for CarePortal in partnership with the National Community Resource Center. I continue to strengthen my community by volunteering in our local schools, advocating for Ward 1 families, leadership support at a local youth recreation center, and creating community events throughout the City. These roles align with my commitment to family support, youth violence prevention, and building stronger neighborhoods for everyone.

Why I'm Running: I am running for Rochester City Council because I believe public service starts with listening and turning concerns of community members into solutions. Throughout my entire life living in Rochester, I want to ensure growth benefits for our current residents while creating new paths for the next generation.

Rooted Experience: My leadership is built on community engagement, partnering with local law enforcement agencies, serving on Rochester’s Planning and Zoning Commission, serving on the Olmsted County Fair board, regional manager of CarePortal in partnership with National Community Resource Center, and a small business owner. I have spent decades mentoring youth and working alongside local families to strengthen our shared community bonds.

Practical Leadership: As a small-business owner, I understand the challenges of rising costs and workforce needs. These experiences have taught me how to bring diverse perspectives together to ask difficult questions and focus on creating workable, practical city solutions.

Service Approach: I’m not here to make unrealistic promises. I’m running to advocate, lead, and deliver by being accessible and accountable, working collaboratively to achieve real results for Ward 1 and the people of Rochester through dedicated, honest service.
