Federal law requires political committees to obtain and report the name, address, employer and occupation for each individual whose contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year. Individuals may contribute a maximum of $5,400.00 per election cycle ($2,800 for a primary election and $2,800 for a general election.) PACs may give a maximum of $10,000 per election cycle ($5,000 for a primary election and $5,000 for a general election.)
Corporate contributions and contributions from foreign nationals are not permitted by Federal laws.
Contributions are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
