Chief JP Broussard has spent 29 years in public service as a paramedic with Acadian Ambulance and as a Deputy Marshal. He is one of only four nationally certified paramedic and law enforcement officers in Acadiana.

Elected as Chief of Police in the 2024 special election, he has worked to build a department that is professional, transparent, and connected to the community. Now he is asking for a full term to keep Youngsville on the path to becoming the safest city in Louisiana.
