Welcome to Arizona, WAIDF’s 2025 Extended Learning Trip, where we’ll explore the politics, movements, and people shaping the future of the Southwest. If you're ready to keep learning, reconnect with alumni, colleagues, and new friends, and dive deep into new ideas (with tacos and desert sunsets along the way), you belong on this trip.

Hotel: Renaissance Phoenix Downtown, 100 N 1st St, Phoenix, AZ 85004 *Marriott brand hotel

Conveniently located near transit, with a direct line to Arizona State University's Tempe Campus, which has a vibrant downtown and nightlife scene we may want to explore.

Attendees are responsible for booking their flights separately and coordinating their room selection assignments. 

Half payment is due by October 31, and full payment is required by November 5. 

A $25 application fee required.

WHAT TO EXPECT

This trip is being developed to feature state and local leaders, federal representatives, campaign strategists, advocacy groups, grassroots organizers, business and education voices, and environmental experts to offer a complete picture of Arizona’s political, civic, and community landscape. 

The bulk of the programming will take place on Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15.
