What would HJR4 do?

HJR4 would Protect our Children, our families and our communities! HJR4 amends the Idaho Constitution by codifying the process of drug scheduling already in place at the legislature. HJR4 keeps our neighborhoods safe, our schools secure, and our children protected from rising drug abuse.

WHY IS HJR4 needed?

Because of the predatory nature of the drug industry. In neighboring states, this industry has spent over $100 million through campaigns and the ballot initiative process to legalize psychoactive drugs, seeking to enrich themselves by preying on citizens’ addictions. These efforts have had devastating impacts on communities, including increased addiction, crime, drug cartel presence, human trafficking, impaired workers and drivers, and direct harm to children and families. This measure stops out of state drug interests from getting on the ballot.
