The Grosse Ile Taxpayers Association (GITA) is a Michigan-based Independent Expenditure-Committee, commonly known as a Super Political Action Committee (Super PAC), registered with the Michigan Secretary of State (Committee ID # 519954).

Contribution Rules


1. Eligible contributors include individual citizens, corporate and businesses from the United States (U.S.). 


A contribution from a foreign national or foreign entity is prohibited. Also, a contribution from a non-profit or charitable organization is not allowed.


2. There is no contribution limit per election cycle for eligible contributors; however, the amount of a contribution with all other required contributor information will be recorded and publicly disclosed on the Michigan Secretary of State's web site.


3. Federal and Michigan law requires Super PACs to use best efforts to collect and report the name, address, employer, employer address and occupation of individuals whose contribution exceeds $100 in an election cycle. If retired, please indicate that status for information about your employer and occupation.


4. A contribution is not tax deductible for State of Michigan or Federal government income tax purposes.


5. A contribution cannot be earmarked for a candidate or another entity that may be supported by the GITA.
