A Life Defined by Service

Some people talk about serving their community. Glenn Yost has spent his entire life doing it.

At 20 years old, Glenn was sworn in as an NYPD officer. Over the next two decades, he worked undercover infiltrating drug cartels, built the largest Youth Council in New York City, and rose to Detective First Grade — one of the youngest in department history to earn that rank.

On the morning of September 11, 2001, Glenn was on his way to Police Headquarters when he saw smoke rising from the Twin Towers. He didn't hesitate. He ran toward them — helping move hundreds of civilians to safety before the first tower fell.

That's who Glenn Yost is.

After retiring from the NYPD with one of the most decorated records in department history, Glenn didn't stop serving. He earned his law degree, opened his own firm, represented over 2,000 Staten Island families in their most difficult moments, and spent more than a decade as legal counsel to State Senator Andrew Lanza.

Now, Glenn is asking for the chance to serve justice from the bench — as Staten Island's next Civil Court Judge.
