The Maryland State Board of Elections requires political campaigns to report the employer and occupation of contributors. Contributions are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes. Beginning in 2015, individuals, corporations, associations and partnerships may each contribute a maximum $6,000 to the Friends of Bob Flanagan during the 4-year election cycle 1/1/15-12/31/18. Two or more entities shall be subject to a single $6,000 maximum if (1) one entity is a wholly owned subsidiary of another entity, or (2) the entities are owned or controlled by at least 80 percent of the same individuals or entities. This applies to all entities, including corporations, LLCs, partnerships, sole proprietorships and real estate investment trusts. MD PAC’s may contribute up to $6,000 during the 4-year election cycle.
