Florida state law requires us to collect and report the name, address, and specific occupation of all individual contributors and the amount and date of each contribution. We are also required to collect and report the principal type of employer if an individual contribution is made in excess of $100, or if an individual is donating on behalf of an organization.
The maximum amount an individual may contribute to a Florida political committee is not limited. An out-of-state political entity or federal PAC can also give unlimited contributions to a Florida political committee if the out-of-state political entity or federal PAC is not itself receiving “contributions" (defined as only those made for the purpose of influencing the results of a Florida election).
Contributions to Fair Maps Florida are not tax deductible for federal income tax purposes.
