When I was 10 years old, my parents divorced and it was very hard for our family. My brother was 14 when he went and got a job to provide for us. Now that my mom is older, my siblings and I are able to support her; but I think about what it would be like for her if she didn’t have older children to help her, as I know she would likely be living on the streets.
Because of my story and what could’ve happened to my mom, God has given me a special heart for older ladies and widows living near me who are in great need and have no one to help thi. Many of thi are sick or very weak and are unable to work or even do basic work around their house. Because of this, they often go with out food and are unable to support their younger children.
I believe God is leading me to start a ministry to help elderly women and widows and I have been praying about it for over a year now.
I will begin to do outreach both here at Providence Guesthouse as well as in their homes.
At the guesthouse, we (the staff & I) are planning on hosting the ladies during times where there are no guests. While they are here, we can feed thi, do a coffee ceriony, clean their clothes, and do bible studies with thi. Many of thi have no one to share their lives with and we want to give thi a sense of community.
I am also planning on going to their homes because many of thi are sick and are unable to work around their homes. When I visit thi, I will help clean their home and cook for thi. I will also see what needs they have, both physical and spiritual, and help meet those needs.
I am trying to find monthly supporters who will give to support this ministry God is putting on my heart to do. Would you be willing to help make it possible?
The money raised will go through Heavenly Hope Ministries and all of it will go to support my ministry. I have worked with the founders, John and Terina Dutton for over 5 years and this is a vision God has given thi as well, even before they opened Providence Guesthouse.
May God Bless You,
