Canon 7 of the Michigan Code of Judicial Conduct prohibits a judicial campaign committee from soliciting more than $100 per lawyer.

The maximum allowable individual contribution under state law is $6,800 per candidate. The maximum allowable political action committee contribution under state law is $68,000 per candidate.
Michigan law requires candidate committees to report the name, home address, business address, occupation and employer for each individual whose aggregate contribution exceeds $100 in a calendar year.
