Dear Coweta Patriot,
I am writing to inform you that the Coweta County Republican Party is inviting you to attend our Convention which will meet on March 21, 2020, at the Carnegie Library (1 Lagrange St, Newnan, Georgia, 30263) as a duly elected Delegate from your precinct.
It’s going to be a great convention.
We will be given out Trump signs, stickers, etc.
We will also be voting to elect delegates to represent us at the District and State Republican conventions.
The District Convention will convene for the purpose of electing 3 Delegates and 3 Alternate Delegates to the Republican National Convention. Delegates and Alternates will be required to pay a fee to cover the cost of the Convention.
Pursuant to the official Call of the Georgia Republican Party, all individuals desiring to be a Delegate or Delegate Alternate to the Republican National Convention are reminded that in order to be eligible for consideration by the District or State Nominating Committee(s) shall complete on or before April 3, 2020 the GRP online application (as published on GAGOP.org) and provide all requested supporting material associated with said application. All such individuals are also required to meet with the respective nominating committee(s) as a prerequisite to having such individual’s name placed in nomination at such convention(s).
The Georgia Republican Party State Convention will convene at 2:00PM on Friday, May 29, 2020, at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Two Galleria Parkway, Atlanta, Georgia and will elect the Georgia Republican Party National Committeeman and Committeewoman along with the AtLarge Delegates to the National Republican Convention, in addition to conducting all other business as necessary.
Registration opens at 9:00 AM
The program will start at 9:30 AM
Registration closes promptly at 10:00 AM. No one will be allowed to register after the deadline.
The convention will adjourn around 11:30 AM
There will be a delegate fee of $20 for this year's County Convention, which is used to cover the expenses of the Convention.
