On February 27, 2023, Governor Ron DeSantis signed House Bill 9B into law, dismantling the Reedy Creek Improvement District and transferring oversight of Disney’s governmental powers to the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. This marks a significant step in holding large corporations accountable, following growing concerns over Disney’s ideological influence and corporate actions, including vaccine mandates. CDF has stood alongside lawmakers and citizens since 2021, defending medical freedom and parental rights.
