United We Stand: Celebrating America’s Past. Building Carroll County’s Future.
Join County Commissioner Tom Gordon for United We Stand, an evening celebrating the values that continue to unite us today: community, service, and a shared commitment to Carroll County’s future.
On September 9, 1776, the Continental Congress officially adopted the name “United States of America,” marking a defining moment in our nation’s history. It was more than a change in name it was a declaration that the colonies were strongest when they stood together as one people.
Just as our founders understood that progress is achieved through unity, this event will bring together neighbors, community leaders, business owners, first responders, educators, farmers, and supporters from across Carroll County to invest in a vision that puts people before politics and works to keep our county strong, safe, and prosperous.
Together, we’ll celebrate our nation’s history, reflect on the importance of working together despite our differences, and continue building a brighter future for Carroll County.
Together. United. Moving Carroll County Forward.
