Colorado's current laws are too soft on fentanyl dealers. Under existing law, someone can possess up to a gram of fentanyl — enough for 500 lethal doses — and face only a misdemeanor. Mandatory jail time is rarely imposed. Dealers carrying enough fentanyl to kill hundreds are getting punishments that don't come close to matching the crime.

Brighter Colorado is running the campaign to 'Vote Yes on Prop 132' to finally require mandatory jail time for fentanyl dealers and court-ordered treatment for low-level users.
