Petition to Defund the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate defunding of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). The AAP has abandoned its stated mission to protect children’s health and well-being, acting instead as a political and pharmaceutical lobbying group.

Recent actions and policies by the AAP demonstrate a clear pattern of ideological enforcement, financial conflicts of interest, and disregard for parental rights:

Key Concerns:

• Medical Harm to Children: The AAP continues to endorse and defend experimental gender interventions for minors—including puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and irreversible surgeries—even as multiple European nations halt these practices due to safety concerns and lack of scientific support.

• Assault on Religious Freedom: The AAP’s latest public statement (July 2025) calls for the removal of all religious exemptions for childhood vaccines, stripping parents of their long-held right to make medical decisions for their children based on sincerely held beliefs.

• Rigid Vaccine Mandates: The AAP aggressively promotes the CDC’s full immunization schedule, despite growing concerns about over-vaccination, lack of long-term safety studies on combination dosing, and individual child risk factors being ignored.

• Financial Conflicts of Interest: Many pediatric practices receive 'bonus payouts' from insurance providers when a certain percentage of their patient population is fully vaccinated, creating a dangerous financial incentive to pressure parents and ignore informed consent.

• Ideology Over Evidence: The AAP continues to release policy statements driven by politics, not science, dismissing legitimate medical and ethical concerns from physicians and parents alike, while aligning its recommendations with pharmaceutical interests.

Taxpayer dollars should NEVER fund an organization that:

- Encourages medical harm to children

- Strips parents of fundamental rights

We Demand:

1. Immediate suspension of public funding to the AAP until it halts its harmful policies, removes conflicts of interest, and adopts truly evidence-based, child-protective standards.

2. Full congressional and state investigations into AAP ties to pharmaceutical companies, insurance payout structures, and the coercive tactics used against parents and physicians.

3. Legal safeguards to protect children, parental rights, and medical freedom from the AAP’s overreach.
