BTL Athletics (Between The Lines) is more than just a baseball program—it’s a movement dedicated to enriching Porterville’s community by supporting our local baseball talent. Founded by Head Coach J.L. Buchanan, BTL Athletics was created to ensure that our athletes have every opportunity to excel, regardless of budget limitations. Our mission is simple but powerful: to provide the resources, mentorship, and encouragement that will help our players reach their full potential, both on and off the field.
At BTL Athletics, we believe that the discipline, teamwork, and resilience developed through baseball extend far beyond the game. Coach Buchanan’s vision is to see Porterville become a hub for high-level baseball, where young athletes not only pursue their dreams but also grow into leaders and role models. His commitment is clear: “If our athletes put in the work and have the desire, it’s my goal to get them where they want to go.” We aim to build a culture where baseball is more than just a sport; it’s a community treasure.
