New Leadership in Education is Imperative

Teachers are overwhelmed with multiple obstacles and countless expectations placed on their shoulders. Parents are frustrated with the lack of transparency and inconsistencies. Most importantly, students are struggling. Academics, social skills, and emotional health are areas of real challenge that have become pronounced over the last two years.

A leader is needed at this critical juncture. We need clear, honest, and transparent communication. We need to work together toward one agenda: the betterment of our schools.  When our schools are better, our community is better.

I am an experienced educator, military wife, and mother of two boys. And, I'm running for the New Hanover County School Board. As a board member, I'll help connect community with schools, and begin the journey to improve education for all of our children. There is a great need for consistency with all students and integrity for those who lead them.
